Kevin Matz is a Partner at the law firm of ArentFox Schiff in New York City where he focuses on domestic and international estate and tax planning, estate administration, and related litigation, and co-chairs its Family Office Group.  

Kevin is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), for which he is currently the chair of its Washington Affairs Committee and a member of its Board of Regents, and was the immediate past chair of its Business Planning Committee.  Kevin is also a certified public accountant, in which connection he is the immediate past President of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYCPA) and a past chair of both its Estate Planning Committee and its Trusts and Estates Administration Committee. Kevin is also the immediate past chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Estate and Gift Taxation Committee, and the Chair-Elect of the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Law Section, as to which he is a past co-chair of its Taxation Committee.  

A frequent speaker and author, Kevin presents at national industry conferences on the use of leveraged transfer techniques and estate planning for groups ranging from private equity fund managers and real estate investors to professional athletes and creative artists. Highly regarded by peers and clients, Kevin is ranked among industry leaders in the Chambers High Net Worth guides for each of the years 2020-2026, and was the Honoree at the UJA-Federation of New York Trusts and Estates Annual Event in June 2023 in recognition of his professional and philanthropic achievements and leadership.
